SPA
we are shooting to open on 3/1/12. Up until then all our treatments are available EXCEPT the nail care.

ALL spa clients are allowed to use the pool, sauna and hot tub for an hour before or after their treatment at no charge.

When booking any body treatment, please advise clients not to shave the day before.

RECYCLING
Here is what I found out, RE recycling:
batteries – ACE hardware
light bulbs – OPALCO
bigger batteries – contact manufacturer and inquire about their recycling program.

So please make sure to never throw batteries or light bulbs in the trash. The squiggly light bulbs have mercury in them and our soil & water don’t need that. Put them aside for Seth to collect. The batteries just run down to Ace real quick. It’s not easy being green, but we do it anyways!

PARKING
I contacted the owners of the parking lot across from our hotel. They had a spot available, but their insurance doesn’t allow transient parking (i.e. guests). So we won’t rent a parking spot from them. Back to 2 hour parking around the hotel, 8 hour parking up by the courthouse and free off street parking at EB.

FOOD ORDER
Tory, will you order food for next Wednesday delivery after 1PM, please? List is on fridge.

OPENING HOTEL AFTER IT WAS CLOSED
If you are the hotel opener, please print out the “Open hotel after weekly closure” check list from the desktop and make sure you do all what’s on there, like a walk through, open all doors, turn lights on, turn heat up if it was turned down (which it shouldn’t but then there it is, every week). Thank you!

BEEP……BEEP…….BEEP…..

I found the culprit. The carbon monoxide detector in the Bainbridge had a low battery. Battery is replaced, and the beeping is gone!

FYI, the WSF will be running an extra trip from Anacortes to Friday Harbor on Wednesday, November 23 at 1:30 p.m. in order to move traffic earlier and reduce backups – if needed.
