San Juan Island has more public waterfront land than any of the other islands, and one of our favorite things to do here is simply to explore the acres of national historic parks, hidden coves and quiet trails. When you get to Bird Rock Hotel, we’ll give you a map and highlight directions to all our favorite spots, both on and off the beaten path. This alone could keep you busy for days. San Juan Island is a recreation paradise, and most of our guests choose to also try a whale and wildlife charter, sea kayaking, biking or, at the very least, fine dining.
