We all eagerly await that very early tease of Spring we get here in Washington State, when the first Daffodils and Tulips emerge, the Winter jacket gets too warm on your walk and you catch yourself smiling for no reason. It’s here. Come on up to gorgeous San Juan Island, protected by the Olympic rain shadow from much of Seattle’s dreary weather, and feel the sun on your face and the wind in your hair. Here are our favorite things to do in early Spring in Friday Harbor and on San Juan Island:
1. Deluxe Jacuzzi Suite at the Bird Rock Hotel
Perhaps you'll treat yourself to the charming San Juan Suite with a harbor view, private patio and kitchen, or the luxurious Marrowstone Suite with your own private outdoor hot tub, a king bed and a gas fireplace.
2. Sunset picnic at the Whale Watch Park
Grab your favorite take-out and a bottle of wine and head to Lime Kiln Lighthouse at sunset for a chance to see Orcas and other wildlife.
3. Facial at the Spa at Earthbox
