Nice hotel in middle of downtown Friday Harbor. Very quiet , with all the needed amenities. Coffee was great!  There’s bikes nearby for renting. We just walked around the town. There’s tea , apple cider that you can have anytime of the day. Very relaxing atmosphere.

We had a truly perfect experience! It was our first time in the San Juan Islands and the hotel is both lovely and in an ideal location. We had the Marrowstone Suite - so it was extra special. Hot tub was such a nice way to end the day! I read some negative reviews about the desk being unstaffed, but we thought the service was top notch! Extra towels and necessities are available whenever you need them, and every question we asked was answered pretty much immediately! Better than most hotels! Highly recommend!

This is the nicest little hotel. It's quiet, comfortable, inviting and the views are magnificent. The coffee selection was nice and the addon for local beer is a great service. The staff is available by text and prompt to respond. There are a number of stairs to the 2nd and 3rd floors, with no elevator, but if you can do stairs (I think it was 30'ish, I counted haha), the San Juan suite is beautiful and so is the deck for lovely views. It's centrally located to most everything in town.

Best *hotel* accommodation on the island! My partner and I have visited San Juan Island aka Friday Harbor before so we went this weekend for a getaway but this time, decided to try staying at the renovated Bird Rock Hotel instead of [another local hotel]. This hotel took my call and gave me and my partner the best deal for a Queen-sized room for a 2-nights stay (whereas booking.com charged $20 more) so we were already impressed with the price we got. The room itself was quaint (Palos room), the amenities convenient (coffee stand, satellite hdtv and 150 DirecTV, etc), and general aesthetic modernized and sleek but not lifeless.

The hotel is quaint, very coastal-esque, and incredibly convenient with relationship to the ferry access and the main drags of Friday Harbor. For a first time visitor or someone just looking to be “in town,” it’s a great stay.
Bed was very comfy and the pillows were awesome - a rarity in hotels anymore! Bathroom areas were clean and well stocked. Amenities included AC (in certain rooms), bath robes, and a coffee/tea supply. All of it contributed to a great experience.

We stayed in the Patos room and loved the balcony and being able to see the harbor from the window! Hotel was truly contactless, which was new to us but super cool. The bathrooms stayed clean and the other guests seemed very respectful. Location, location, location is true here - so close to everything we needed.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Bird Rock Hotel and it was truly a delightful experience. The hotel is housed in a cute, stylish old building that has been tastefully converted into a modern stay.
One of the best things about this hotel is its location. It is conveniently situated within walking distance to all the places you would want to visit on the island. Whether it's the beach, restaurants, or shops, everything is just a short stroll away.
