Shift Focus

Shift from feeling powerlessness to taking actionable steps.

Visit the fantastic Friday Harbor Whale Museum or go on a guided whale watching tour to learn about the challenges Orca whales are facing and what you can do to help. It may surprise you what impact you can have by switching to less harmful cleaning products or being conscientious about your single-use plastic consumption.

Restore Purpose

Purpose transforms despair into a sense of accomplishment.

San Juan Island’s annual “Litter Free by the Sea” Earth-Day-celebration–held on the Saturday after Earth Day–is a big deal. The entire community, visitors, islanders ,and friends come together and clean the isle’s beaches. There is a huge after-party at San Juan Brewing with prizes for the biggest and strangest trash, free beer for volunteers, live music, kids activities, and more.
